DEVELOPING COACHES TO USE FITNESS AS A TOOL FOR JESUS

 

WHY SPORTS AND FITNESS?

Sports and fitness are universal languages and among some of the most influential platforms in the world. As coaches have been sent out, we are seeing lives changed and communities transformed with Kingdom culture. While fitness is our passion, our greatest desire is to see the gospel of Jesus Christ reach the ends of the earth; sports and fitness have been our tools to accomplish that.

DURATION

Duration: CDP is a 3-month in-person hands-on training for upcoming RTC coaches!

*The Coaching Development Programs run at the same time as YWAM Kona quarters and have the same start/end dates as the quarters. (September, January, April -none in July)

REQUIREMENTS

To be apart of CDP, you have to have graduated from DTS (Discipleship Training School with any YWAM base in the world). DTS is a critical part of the foundation for how and why we use fitness as a tool for the Gospel.

COST

Coach Development Program Fee: $300

*only includes the internship curriculum. Separate costs include housing and food

 

HOUSING & FOOD

Housing is not provided. We recommend:

  • Applying for campus housing

  • Finding Off-Campus Housing

Campus housing costs: $400/mo

*Campus housing is not guaranteed especially depending on the quarter (such as September is nearly impossible to have on-campus housing for our CDP Trainees as on-campus housing is given to DTS students as priority). In this case we recommend applying to staff and posting on our YWAM community page for open housing options as soon as possible.

Food is not provided. Campus cafeteria meals are available for purchase.
