discipleship training school.

We gather hungry world changers to train and disciple as effective functional fitness coaches to then send them out into the nations as sons and daughters to reach and win souls for Jesus.

Join the family for six months of life changing training and cultivate your relationship with Jesus, set your calling into motion, and be released into your destiny.

Spend 6 months to get trained in your passion and be released onto the mission field.

Spend your mornings in lecture times with world renowned speakers like Andy Byrd, Francis Chan, and Todd White. These times are intended to stir your hunger for greater intimacy with Jesus and will equip you with tools to be a missionary where ever you go.

Our campus runs solely on the service of our staff and students. During your time on base, you will get help out in one of our core departments on campus. Work Duty positions vary for everyone. You may get to serve in our cafeteria kitchen or possibly work on our maintenance team.

Twice a week, you will be in the box with Respect the Corners students and staff. Here, you will be developed as a functional fitness coach and will learn how to uses the avenue of fitness missionally. You can expect a solid work out during this time as well.

We value our YWAM Kona community and we participate in the campus family gatherings. We kick off every week with Monday morning worship and we gather on Thursday nights for our Ohana meetings.

Prayer is one of our highest values. Two afternoons a week will be spent in our prayer room, praying and interceding for various topics and people groups.

Day on outreach : Pt. 2

Q. How much does DTS cost?

There is a $75 application fee for DTS. Upon acceptance. The total cost of DTS is $10,000. Training phase is $3,995 and out reach is $4,000-$6,000. $1,000 is due before arrival day and the full payment is due before you leave for outreach.

Q. What is covered by my tuition?

Your tuition covers all meals and housing for your stay in Kona. It also covers all the cost for your outreach.

Q. Where will I live?

During lecture phase, you will live on the YWAM Kona base in Kailua-Kona. Housing is dormitory style. Our campus is walking distance from downtown Kona (Coconut Grove).

Q. What about meals?

All meals will be provided on our YWAM Kona base cafeteria.

Q. How do I get around town?

There is a shuttle that will run twice a week to the local Target and WalMart. If you want to travel around the island, transportation will be up to you. There are shops and eateries that are walking distance from the base.

Q. Do I need a background in      functional fitness to do the

RTC track?

Although we do not require a background in functional fitness, we want students to understand that this track is for people who are intentionally pursuing fitness as an avenue to influence people with the Gospel. If you are simply interested in staying in shape during your DTS but are not interested in using functional fitness as your main avenue for ministry, you can join our scheduled classes during the week that are open to all YWAM students and staff.

Q. Will I get to WORK OUT?

Yes! During track times, we will train after our coaching development time. We also offer functional fitness classes Monday-Saturday at various times that you can jump in on.

Q. How will I use fitness on outreach?

Depending on your outreach location, there will be various ministry opportunities that involve functional fitness (ex. baseball camps, trekking, working out in local boxes). Outreach will not be limited to functional fitness ministries alone.

In six months, you will encounter God, be transformed by the love of Jesus and launched into your calling to

spread the gospel through your passion.
